At first look, the fact that volcanic rock does not decompose may seem like an advantage, but this also means it will not add nutrients into the soil, like some organic mulches do. And, because the rocks absorb heat, they dry out the soil, making the choice of plants to use with this mulch more limited. Plants that do not require a lot of moisture, like succulents, and can tolerate added heat, are the best choice when using volcanic rock. 5/20/2022 05:19:48 am
